Cooma

TAFE NSW Cooma is situated on the lands of the Kuma People of the Ngarigo nation.

Cooma is in the Snowy Mountains of NSW and is the area’s largest town. It shares the high mountainous beauty of surrounding towns and has a rich industrial history. Cooma served a crucial role in the construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme. Today, it welcomes visitors with historic buildings, shops, cafes and museums. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy skiing, hiking and camping in the surrounding Kosciuszko National Park and Wadbilliga National Park. Cooma's diverse community adds to its vibrant atmosphere.

TAFE NSW Cooma is located at the northern entrance to the town while the area also has a TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre (CLC) in nearby Jindabyne. The campus offers approximately 20 courses across a range of vocational subject areas taught on campus and in workplaces. These include business, hospitality, cookery, motor technology, English language and skills for the workplace. A broader range of courses are offered in an online and on campus combination including community services, IT and animal care.
