Organised by the TAFE NSW Illawarra Nowra students of Diploma of Visual Arts and Certificate III in Aboriginal Cultural Arts, teachers and students will showcase their art from Monday 21 November to Friday 2 December 2016.
In conjunction with the Student Art Exhibition, the 2016 Black Cockatoo Art Awards exhibit will display artworks from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists living, working or studying in the Shoalhaven.
Warwick Keen, Teacher Visual Arts and Aboriginal Cultural Arts, is proud that his students are able to show off their best works amongst other talented artists.
“The Student Art Exhibition has been running for as long as I’ve been here which is well over nine years.
“It’s a great opportunity for up and coming artists to promote their arts careers across a range of fields and network with people in the industry,” says Mr Keen.
Warwick Keen and Anne-France Fulgence, TAFE NSW Illawarra teachers in Arts will also be exhibiting some of their art pieces.
Both of these Exhibitions provide an opportunity for the community to purchase works from budding artists within the region.
The works include paintings, drawings and photography across varying mediums including Aboriginal art.
The free exhibition runs from Monday 21 November to Friday 2 December, 10am to 4pm, at TAFE NSW Illawarra Nowra in A Block.
