RMS Authorised Inspection Station Program

TAFE NSW Wollongong project manages a large state-wide project on behalf of TAFE NSW.

This is the RMS Authorised Inspection Station program sees TAFE NSW in the Illawarra region as the sole provider for the Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Authorised Inspection Stations state-wide training, on behalf of TAFE NSW.

An estimated 12,000 mechanics have been trained in this time across the state.

These courses train mechanics to become inspectors for roadworthiness prior to vehicle registration.  Training delivery includes Heavy Vehicle Authorised Inspection Stations (HVAIS), Authorised Safety Check Inspection Stations (ASCIS), Authorised Gas Inspection Stations (AGIS) and Authorised Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Stations (AUVIS).
