In addition to the TAFE NSW fee, concession fee or fee-for-service amount, some courses may require you to purchase additional materials, resources, equipment or services used directly during the course of study.
Further costs in addition to your student fees may be applicable for Smart and Skilled subsidised qualifications. These costs are to provide you with additional resources and/or material to support your learning, or to enable you to re-attempt training and/or assessment instances where successful completion of a Unit of Competency within the qualification has not occurred.
For further information, please refer to the following TAFE NSW Student Policies:
Refer to the individual course offering for the other course related charges that may apply. You can find the individual course offering using our Course Search tool.
Some courses may require you to purchase additional resources such as:
- protective clothing and materials
- Illawarra TAFE Student Association membership
- license fees
- car parking (semester or annual fee).
All TAFE NSW fees and charges are reviewed on a yearly basis and are subject to change.
Testamurs and transcripts
If you successfully complete a nationally recognised qualification, a TAFE NSW accredited course, a course accredited by another authority but delivered by TAFE NSW, or a TAFE Statement (non-AQF), you will receive a TAFE NSW testamur.
Your testamur is an official security-protected certificate showing the qualification you attained. The following security features are part of every testamur:
- Unique number
- State crest watermark
- Embossed seal.
At the end of each semester you will also receive a transcript setting out your results.
A replacement testamur will cost $75. To request a replacement testamur/certificate, complete an application form for a replacement testamur/confirmation of award form and lodge it with the $75 fee at your local TAFE NSW Customer Service Centre.
