How do I apply for Recognition?
It is best to apply for upon enrolment or before your course or unit begins. Did you know if you are approved for Recognition for a government subsidised course, your fees will be reduced? This is why it is important to process Recognition at enrolment or as close to enrolment as possible.
For Credit Transfer:
Complete the Enrolment Adjustment Form – Credit – Previous Studies and submit to your Teacher or Head Teacher for processing.
Evidence required to apply for credit transfer may include documents such as course transcripts or statement of results. Units previously completed at TAFE NSW may be able to be automatically applied to your current enrolment.
For Recognition of Prior Learning:
Step 1: Determine your eligibility with the online app
Step 2: Start the application process
Once you have determined whether you are eligible to apply for RPL, our staff will contact you and guide you through the application process. TheEnrolment Adjustment Form – RPL can be submitted to your Teacher or Head Teacher for processing.
Step 3: Enrolment and assessing of evidence
Once you application has been approved, you can enrol and submit your evidence. You may need to be contacted of further evidence is required to be deemed RPL approved.
Step 4: RPL outcome
You will be notified of the outcome of your RPL. If you are successful you will be sent a current transcript with the recognition you have been granted. If you are not successful in receiving the level of recognition that you applied for, you can discuss this with your Head Teacher, who will advise you of your options.
